Reducing wind and road noise

Reducing wind and road noise

Friend purchased a 1997 Volvo 850 GLT. The car is wonderful. One gripe though is the road and wind noise. Is there anything that can be done about the wind and road noise? Why is there so much wind noise?

Wind through the rear windows always sounds like a helicopter To stop that open a front window. Check and see if there is a filter on the air intake located in the engine compartment under the plastic cowel on the passenger side. Is the road noise suspension related or tires?
