Justin joins MVS Moderator crew

Post by matthew1 »

Please welcome jablackburn -- real name Justin -- to the elite ranks of MVS Moderators. He has a critical thinking ability, a hard science background, and an obvious friendly/helpful nature.

Training

Naturally, he's gone through the rigorous 14-week MVS Moderator training program.

Lee and Bill watch boost gauges in the background as Justin endures yet another Nigerian spam attack training session.

Background

He was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina, and recently graduated from Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg, VA (Go Hokies!) in May 2009. He majored in Geography, with minors in History and Geosciences. Justin has somewhat of a background in mechanical engineering, gained before he decided to switch majors. He is currently working a job as a Cartographer for the New River Valley Planning Commission, and trying to save up a bit of money to put himself through Grad school.

Justin has owned 3 cars, this is his first Volvo, but he grew up with a Saab that he and his family loved dearly, and thought he would revisit the Swedes for his next car...and he loves it. His dad was always a car guy, and he's learned most of what he knows from him and his grandpa and the constant fixing they had to do to their old cars. He has always been mechanically inclined, and on a never-ending quest to learn as much as he can about everything, and in turn help other people with what he knows.

MVS Moderators

All moderators here do it for the love of helping people and getting cars to run well. They are unpaid, so if you have a minute, thank a mod.

Thanks Matt

Here's a face to go along with my introduction so it seems I'm more than just some robot behind a computer. Sorry, can't find any of me actually with my car.

I'm honored to become a moderator here, but it is because of all of you here I've become any good at answering questions

If any of you ever need help with anything, or have a quick question you need answered feel free to PM or shoot me an email. I'll do my best to answer any questions to the best of my ability, and if I don't know an answer, there are others here that may, or I know people that I can ask.

Most important of all, if I'm wrong CORRECT ME! I'm human too...I have no problem being proved wrong, and I don't know everything! The best way to learn is by making mistakes and learning from them (or learning from others')!

Welcome aboard.

From the picture I'm guessing that you know who Roy Williams is. We loved him here but Bill Self has been OK - until last week.

I never went to KU but I do a lot of work for them and they are always fun to watch in the tournament - that one that happens just before spring but you can't say the month of March in the same sentence or Matt will get sued by the NCAA.

Roy Williams, noooo...who's that?

Kansas is always fun to watch beat down that other much-hated ACC team from Durham in March
I'm not sure if the Tar Heels will make it that far this year, but I'm hoping!
