Sunroof & Remote Tailgate unlock stopped working

Hello,

The sunroof and the remote unlock of the tailgate in my 2003 V70 just stopped working. I checked the fuses, which looked fine, but I replaced them anyway, but no luck. The tailgate does unlock using the remote, but only if I unlock all the doors. I also started getting "Alarm System Service Required" warning light at about the same time. The alarm does go off, though if I hit the panic button on the remote key chain or if I try "breaking in", so I don't know what that's about.

Does anybody have any ideas? Are they related or purely a coincidence? Any assistance is appreciated.

Thanks Vegasjetskier. The siren does work. I think the "Alarm Service Required" is a false indicator. I mentioned that as I thought it may be connected to the sunroof and tailgate not working. This was great thread and step-by-step in replacing the siren module though.
