New member - 940 wagon with *343K miles*

Post by Kirby J »

New member here. A most informative site!

I have a 93 940 wagon with 343K miles. Have just bought a 1999 V70 NA for the wife with 160K miles. Have previously owned a 1970 145, 1969 144, 1974 164.

I drive my 93 about 300 miles a day while working as an airport courier . In the last 3 years I have driven 195K in this car. The car is totally stock with the exception of the IPD Poly suspension bushings. No leaks or drips. I go 4K between oil changes, and do not add any oil between changes. Anybody else out there putting these kind of miles on your car on a regular basis? What have you had to replace?

I would like to get this kind of service from the V70.

Reason: I spiced up the title a bit by adding "940 wagon with *343K miles*" - it'll get more attention that way

I do not know about a V70, but my 850 has 244k with all stock,
sides from the pass axle. but I replaced that due to the cv joint going. Didn't feel like messing with it.

But nice mileage!!!!!
And welcome to MVS!

Hey... might you have some nifty badges on your car?
You should call Volvo and ask about high mileage club! *if you dont*
