xc70 rear wiper arm replacement help please

I have an xc70, 2003. looking to understand how to remove rear wiper arm. nut is off, but not sure how to remove arm. doesn't pull easily. previously attached pdf just says to 'detach arm and blade' after removing nut. replacement part has no threads, so am assuming it's a pull. perhaps cut the old arm off? looking for advice please.

You could use a hacksaw and cut off the old arm, just be careful not to damage the post when you cut. The arms are made of aluminium at the base, and they get galvonic corrosion between them and the steel post. You could also try to heat up the arm around the post with a propane torch, that will lossen it. then just wiggle it up and down to get it off. If all else fails, a battery teminal puller or a wiper arm puller will pop it right off.
