850 1997 cluster not working

Post by Athenasinsanedad »

ok now that the car starts again, my cluster hasn't worked in over a year. I have checked hopefully all the fuses, removed the cluster and checked the connections and I am at a lose for what to do next. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Is it completely dead or are there specific functions that don't work? Do the lights work?

The lights work but no gauges.

Have you checked to make sure all the fuses are good? I believe the gauges function off a different fuse.

Well, that is an interesting fix. Maybe the cluster needed to just be reset. Lets hope it stays working.

I do not think its a fuse because since the initial "not working" it has come on a couple of times. We are running a tach off the original tach wire from the cluster and have good signal from the others also.
