Windshield is glued in. The trim around the outside is only that...trim.
A glass company would have to remove ,clean and reseal to do it right.

See above, buy the carrunpaulone wrote: -2003, Fuel Pump replaced (seemed a bit strange)
NOT! Many 2000's had some pump issues. They went to a new supplier in 2000. I've had to work on several of them
-2004, Motor Mount replaced (another weird thing)
VERY Common, M. mounts break on Volvos ALL the time
-2004/2005, Power steering pump replaced (Huh? on a 4yr old Volvo?)
Not so common but very possible
-2006/2007, Motor Mount replaced (what? again?)
Again, the top mount can last for only 25K before it needs to be replaced
It's the basic design
Besides the weird replacement parts within 3-5 years of the car being new this car is in fantastic shape. One other thing was strange. As I started driving I noticed the wind on the windshield was a bit loud. There seems to be some air leaking in around the passenger side of the windshield. The car has never seen an accident. Any thoughts on this?
Seals on these cars can be problematic.
We actually bend the doors back into shape
Also, the ETM sticker is yellow, which, from my research here means it's been replaced already. There was no indication that it was malfunctioning. Everything else seemed pretty clean - performed very well. I'm going to have my mechanic check everything out tomorrow.
All of your comments/suggestions are deeply appreciated. (btw: I'm selling my 1995 850 GLT)
Mod note. Jim passed away in early 2022, his contributions to this forum are immortal, and he is missed. RIP

As you know from owning your 850, it's a bit of a gamble owning a Volvo unless you are willing to do a majority of the repairs yourself...unless you have lots of cash monies for the dealer.runpaulone wrote: I don't know too much about car repairs, but I'm learning being that these Volvo's can add up.
For seafoam use a vacuum hose off the vacuum tree or the vacuum hose for the master cylinder. 1/3 of the can in the crankcase, 1/3 in the gas tank, and 1/3 into a vacuum hose. Change the oil afterwards.

Wow! Thanks for all this great advice. This helps alot guys. I'm going to run it by my mechanics today and then offer them $3,500, using the leverage of the air flow in the windshield. I'll let you all know how it goes.

I took the car in question to my mechanic yesterday, and there were a couple things he noticed right off the bat before even lifting the car.
1.) The rear 1/4 panel had been previously painted and possibly replaced. If this is true they did a pretty good job of it, although this wouldn't effect my decision, unless this "accident" that wasn't on the carfax report messed up some other things.
2.) The idler pulley was a bit shaky and would probably have to be replaced soon.
3.) There was quite a bit of oil around a gasket behind the engine. I'm not sure if this was "head gasket" or a gasket. It was around the hose that runs over the engine.
4.) I would gradually smell antifreeze through the vents which my mechanic said it might or not be a sign of a head gasket going out.
This, combined with the strange air coming through the windshield was enough for me to NOT buy the car. I didn't want to invest too much right off the bat. Again, I'm not too mechanically savvy, but I'm learning. Another thing, the ETM sticker was yellow, but this wasn't on the carfax report. If this was replaced by Volvo (and I assume it was being this was supposedly a corporate car, wouldn't it be on that report?)
Anyway, onwards and upwards. Thanks for all the help everyone.
