PLEASE HELP

Post by cajun850t »

I have a SRS light on on the dashboard and I don't have any codes for the SRS terminal on the "B" side. If anyone would like to share their codes, it would be great help. On the SRS sticker, it says that it expires this year. Would this set off the SRS light and the service light at the same time??? or just the SRS light. :?:

The SRS light can only be turned off by the dealer, so any time you disconnect anything to do with the SRS make sure the battery is disconnected and the key is out of the ignition. I have a bunch of Volvo specific codes but B5 SRS codes are not on any of my lists.

A common way a code gets set is if something slides under the seat and knocks a wire loose. You might check under there.

Volvo was the early developer of air bags and when they first put them into production it was uncertain what their installed life would be. They have since determined that they should be good for at least 15 years. When you visit your dealer ask them for a new sticker extending your expiration date. There is no charge.

In other words the system's age is not the problem.
