while attemting to remove my abs module per the walkthrough, i ran into a few problems.
1- screws that hold module to abs block are damaged/stripped. tried e-5 and 5/32. non of them are gonna budge.
2- noticed a small chip in abs module.... somebody has been in it before.
im supposing im going to have to remove the whole abs block to get that module off. anyone got any advice for doing that? it looks as though there are to large flat head allen bolts securing it to the black bracket. what should i remove? im guessing once i pull all those brake lines im going to have a whollllle lot of bleeding to do? help me out guys, i gotta get these dash lights off so i can get this car through the e-check here in ohio.

If you have a dremel you could cut slots across the head of the retaining bolts and use a flat blade scredriver. I have also used jb weld and a few extra bits (use the bit that is supposed to fit the screw before damaged. ie. torx for torx). I used JB quick weld and let it dry with the bits epoxied into the screw. I let it dry 2 days. It only takes minutes for it to set up and I use cheap magnets to hold the bit in while the JB weld dries. I then put a piece of tape over it and use it for 2 days.
If you don't have to use it for a few days the regular JB weld is stronger but drippier.
Start with the dremel trick - I get most of them out this way.
Sorry that someone messed with it before you got there.
Always tap (with a hammer)the screw down its long axis to break any corrosion before tyring any of the tips above. When I fixed motorcycles for a living this one technique was the difference between a good and bad day.
Best of everything,
JD
