2000 v70 xc - 146k - code 1332 - cvvt questions

Post by lifelesslived17 »

timing belt done at 119k, currently runs and drives great. cleared code 1332 saturday, came back on today with less than 50 miles driven since it was cleared. cvvt is only 128 dollars new at the stealership here locally. the walk through some one was nice enough to make seems easy enough.
What do you guys think i should do? can this cause a larger problem? is it urgent? ive got the money, thats not the issue. i just dont want to throw parts at a problem until its dialed in.

In VADIS, it described the problem as potentially causing loss of power, and uneven idle among a few other things.

We had the faulty CVVT solenoid with the P1332 code for nearly 2 years without anything noticeable happening. I finally out what it was thanks to my discovering of these forums!

For me, it was worth it just to get the CEL turned off that had been on every so often for that long. I also like knowing that that part of the car, however significant or insignificant it is, is in fact working like it should.

ill probably pick it and some new iridium sparkplugs after my oil change tomorrow, as i just prefer to have the light off. that way when the light does come on i know to check something else.
