Has anyone else had the top power steering hose leak?
This is the hose that goes into the bottom, side of the reservoir. I thought it was the cap allowing fluid to come out, but I got a new cap and that wasn't it. It may be as simple as taking the crimp hose clamp off, cutting some of the hose off, and putting it back on with a new clamp.
The hose in question is the #4, suction hose on the diagram.

I can't say that I have dealt with your specific model. But I can say that something similar to this happened regularly to the 1st Gen Saab 900.
The problem was that the hose end became frayed a bit. You always go with the easiest, and usually cheapest, solution first. Place a worm clamp over the end and tighten it firmly. Don't go nuts. Make sure that it is properly on.
If it continues to leak, then tighten some more. If that doesn't do it, you may simply have to replace the hose. Keep in mind that the volvo hose is specifically shaped. You probably could get by with some generic unshaped hose from a autozone/advance auto. Check to see if the volvo hose is too expensive.
Also, look at the return house as well. It could be leaking from that end and being blown back onto the main hose. Weirder things have happened.
Finally, you could have a cracked housing nipple. It's less likely but more expensive to fix.
Best of Luck
