Radiator Hoses

Anyone had any experiences with replacing the hoses ? I've got one in the upper front, left (the 3-way). The plastic joint in the middle has a hairline crack in it. Are those expensive to replace ? I'm thinking of going all silicone with my hoses, but it appears that this plastic piece has the hoses attached already.. Oi !!
