ETS light Stays On

I had my Volvo S70 for about a year, latley my ETS (electronic thortle system) light is staying on when I drive, and when this light is on I can not use my cruise control. What do I have to do to get this fixed? Is there a part I buy that I could put in myself? Or should I take it in? Thank you for helping me.

This has to be one of the most common questions asked on all the boards. Anyways, you should be fine until your idle starts "surging and searching" as some call it. In the mean time, you should clean it to prolong its life. This link provides all the info you should ever need about the ETM.
