so I decided to change out the siren module today. So I looked over the 2001 S80 T6 Siren Module Replacement/Repair post https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums ... 79&start=0 The job itself only took about half an hour, however I did have to go get some different fasteners. In the post it says to use 3/16"X1/4" aluminum pop rivets but for some reason then would not grip the inside of the bumper cover.So I used the black push in clips that are a little bigger then 1/4" in diameter. They hold the liner and bumper cover great and when or if I need to replace the module again this will make it a lot easier. The clips I used are GM & Chrysler retainers by Auto Body Master part number PM-47345 and they are used to attach the inner fender to the the fender on these cars (GM/Chrysler).
BTW thanks to Eire Vo-Vo Inc the siren module works shipping was fast and with the install only taking 30 minutes I'm not worried if this one fails as they warranty the part for as long as I own the car! Bets the $185.00 for a new one!!!!
