S70 head light lens replacement

I had a stone destroy the left head light lens on my S70 and I purchased a new lens from IPD, but it seems I have to remove the entire front bumper cover to get at the lower clips of the lens assembly.

Has anyone done this? Is there an easy way to remove the bumper to expose the clips without the total disassembly of the facia?

it is easier to remove the headlamp assembly rather than removing the bumper unit.
