What strut spring compressor?

I want to pick up a spring compressor for the rear, but I will then have it for fronts, etc. Any recommendations?

Alan,
The stronger the better. If it breaks the spring can do significant damamge to you or the car.

There are 2 arms and 3 arms. Some even come in their own press. Some have a safety lock that goes around the coil where others do not.

Its really a question of how much you have to spend. If you can afford the space and cost of a true press style I believe they are the safest. Quality compressors of this type run from $400 to $4000 depending on features

Harbor frieght sells lesser models from $10 to $200

I bought this one at Harbor Freight a couple of years ago. Extremely heavy, and very well put together. I've done about 5 sets of struts with it. I won't touch death sticks.

Sears sells this one for $215. I looked at it in the store before buying the HF unit. I couldn't see the justification for It being $215, as I couldn't see anything that set it apart from the HF.
