Starts but, idles very, very rough

2001 s60 base 205,000 miles

a couple times a week when starting the car it idles really, really rough, turn it off, start it again and does it again usually on the 4-6 start attempt it will start normally. Any thoughts (ignition coil, 02 sensor,) replaced plugs, did it with old plugs and new, also cleaned MAF sensor, throttle body, & new gasket on TB.

Check you EVAP valve...this is one of the must common idle problems...is one way valve..when its fail, let de gases from the tank to go every time to the intake manifold and gives rough idle...

Also check your MAF connection....did you have de CHECK LIGHT on???

Yes, the check engine light is on.
when this happens the service engine required message display's but, once it starts with out ideling rough the message goes away.
