Conflicting Tranny Fluid posts

The only tranny's that REQUIRE the synthetic fluid are the 5spd from 2000+ correct?

I have a 1999 V70, and mine can still use the Dexron III right?

The 5 speed Automatic MUST use synthetiic transmission fluid.
