Finding your car in a busy parking lot

Post by charliekatz »

I was told by my dealer that the keyfob lock/unlock will not make a honking sound
for any volvo :?:
I asked how to find my car when it is lost in a parking lot and he said everyone uses
the security alarm for that. That seems like overkill ? Is there a way for the service
people to change the default behavior so a little honk happens on lock or unlock ?

I agree that it is good to be aware, however as I age, I find that
my eyesight and memory have not stayed as strong. So a helpful
honk is a good help for me...

I ran into a fellow volvo owner this afternoon. He told me that he
uses the security warning to find his car. I think that is quite a bit
louder than necessary. Wouldn't it be nicer to have a quick burst instead
of the multiple loud honks ???

you can disconnect one of the horns, and see how it sounds with one. Or replace with a different sounding horn
