Turn the key but no response at all
This is a question for my roomate, he has a 95 nissan maxima, can not be started tonight, turn the key and all the lights could be on, but the car is quiet and wont start, start doesnt response at all, tried to jump with another car, no response either, does anybody have a guess where the problem could be please? thanks a lot.

Starter solenoid or relay. If its a manual you can pop start it.
Turn on the headlights and try to start it. If the headlights do not dim the starter is not being activated.
Also, check to make sure the engine has oil.

Resolved. He called AAA and the guy came and nock the starter with a wrench 2 twice, after which the starter works, sounds funny right?

You're going to need a new starter, the sooner the better to keep from being stranded again. While whacking it will keep it going for a while if it does the same thing, eventually (and in who knows how long) it's going to give up altogether.
