blower fan on v70 xc on when car is off

Please Help Me,
My 2001 V70 XC' blower fan will come on when the car is off. This mostly happens on hot days. This cant be normal. I am afraid it will kill the battery with hot weather coming. If you turn on key switch, fan will cut off.

Do you use the AC on those hot days?

The ECC is programmed to turn on the blower unit some time after the car has been off for a while to help dry out the evaporator. It is normal, unless it is going for hours and your battery is dying.

I assume you're talking about the inside blower fan for the AC/heat... if you're talking about the engine fan, it's also normal for that to go on for some time after the engine is shut off if it is very hot.

It's been driving me nuts. I think i will upgrade to an interstate battery. The battery in the car checks good, but the quality isn't there. By the way nice XC I wish I had the 2.4.
