2000 S70 GLT/SE
On occasion I switch my A/C on and off while on the road. When the fan is on and I switch back and forth to A/C, WHITE-looking air comes out of the air ducts but only when I go from A/C OFF to ON. It looks like dust is flying out. So immediately I turn off the fan and A/C. Then turn them both back on and everything's fine.
Does this indicate an early problem with my A/C system?

If you live where it's really humid the sudden cool down when you turn on the A/C can cause water vapor to briefly form (like a cloud in the sky) and blow out of the vents. I've had this happen a few times.
If the A/C is blowing cold and the compressor is not cycling off and on rapidly, it should be OK.
To check the drain, locate it at the bottom center of the firewall. Just squeeze it to make sure it drains. Don't poke anything up there as you might risk damaging the evaporator.
