I have an S40 with a blown head gasket. Any tips anyone can offer for this repair, ie. service manuals, requirements for special tools, etc.
Thanks!

I guesses you had a T3 motor
An experienced wrench can do this without any special tools. make sure to only remove head gasket residue chemically. If you scratch the head or block surfaces you will get to do the head gasket several times during ownership.
Also repair the cause of failure, replace the coolant overflow tank and put on a new coolant pressure cap.
