250 decibel brakes

Post by loves2skate »

I recently put NON-VOLVO brakes on my Volvo 850. THey squell so loudly that homeless drunks that haven't seen daylight in 40 years are waking up to see what is going on. I have put shims on the back.No help. Of course, I'm stuck with the NON-Volvo brakes. Any ideas? I've lubed, relubed. I just look straight ahead and pretend that is not me waking the dead.

Sorry, man. This is a common problem. Stick with OEM pads when you can.

The NAPA ceramic and Brembo rotors do not squeel and they last 2 to 3 times longer than stock. They also come with their own rear shims that work better than the "improved" stock shims.
