AC blower speed

Post by CW2 »

The AC blower speed on my 2003 V70 2.4L turbo wagon is erratic. On initial start up , with the ECC AC Switch set to ON, the blower control knob will vary the blower speed and the system cools satisfactorily. After operating normally for a short time, the blower control will not vary the fan speed, which remains on high, and the blower motor continues to run, even with the AC and blower switches OFF and ignition switch OFF. Removing the fuse naturally stops the blower motor.

From what I've been able to learn through online forums, I suspect the problem is either with the Cooling Control Module (CCM) or the Fan Control Module (resistor) because the fan motor rotates freely.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
