Gearbox oil leak

Post by simond »

Hi, i'm new here and hoping someone could help me out.

I have 2000 V40, it has an oil leak from the left hand side of the gearbox, i have sourced a new driveshaft boot and was wondering how easy it is to change it and if there is anything i should be looking out for?

Check out the repair database for axle removal/installation on one of the 850/70 series cars. An axle will be more or less the same on any of them, just make sure you push it into the transmission and feel a good solid click when it goes in. That should keep it from leaking fluid anymore.
