'98 S70 AC Recharge (high / low pressure lines)

Post by moonboot »

Hello,

I am going to attempt to recharge the AC today on my 1998 S70. I am aware of the warnings to use the valve on the low pressure line but does anybody know where this is (specifically)?

I do see the valve marked "nm" by the passanger headlight under the hood. Is this the correct valve?

Thank you.

That's the low-pressure valve. I've yet to see a high-pressure valve on mine. Just use the low-pressure, you can't charge on the high side anyway. Or I should say you shouldn't, it'll cause the can of refrigerent to explode. Not the desired effect....

Thanks,

I'll give that a shot and post the outcome, hopefully one which does not involve an exploding canister.
