2008 XC70 Transmission
I'm having a hard time finding info on changing transmission fuild for this car. It has a six-speed geartronic auto and it looks like it does not have a dipstick. Any idea how to get fuild into the unit once I dump it out via the drain plug? The must be a fill hole somewhere.

It has a dipstick, Volvo hides it very well.

The fluid is Mobil 3309 ATF or equivalent...That "3309" is important...The dipstick is yellow and it is located right up front just to the left of center and close to the radiator and fan...It is down deep under the harnesses and pipes...
IMPORTANT!!!...There is a large bolt up on top of the transmission...Folks have removed this bolt when they wanted to add fluid...Do NOT remove it, it is the capture bolt for the B-4 band which applies the third speed...If it is removed, the band becomes loose, third speed is lost, and the only way to repair it is to remove and disassemble the transmission...
