2003 xc 90 wheel bearings

I have a 2003 xc 90 and I am hearing a lot of noise. Just replaced tires . Was wondering if it might be wheel bearings I have 42,400 miles on vehicle.

I had a right rear wheel bearing replaced at 78,000 miles.

I have also just changed the rear wheel bearing om my XC90-04. The shop told me that they have had a lot of problem with water getting in to the bearing.

I have an '03 xc90. Wheel bearings had to be replaced at around 55,000 km. Before the scheduled fix, I was driving with my friend. Within one minute he asked, "Whats that sound?" I replied, "Wheel bearings. They are getting replaced next week." He said: "Oh, thats good. Your car sounded like Sebulba's pod from Star Wars."

I have had a constant list of things that have needed fixing since I bought this used at 43,000 km. It has extended warranty, and everything is covered, but it is a huge pain having to bring this in to the shop every 2 months. First I was getting some weird messages from the message centre, then the wheel bearings, now surging when I really step on the gas.

We love our vehicle and its great for our family, but I don't know if I'll buy a Volvo again.
