Bluetooth contact list download

I have a 59 registered C30 R design & have recently changed my mobile 'phone. I now find that the Volvo software is not compatible with modern telephone software and though the 'phone will bluetooth for calls I have to manually enter the number I want to ring on the car's keypad, a process which rather negates the hands free concept. My dealer says there is no update available. Any ideas on a current or future solution?
