s60 computer/warning light problem

i have a 2003 s60.
when i start the car the yellow warning light flashes 5 times and then goes off. no other lights come on.
also, i believe there is something wrong with the computer. there is no text in the read window where it would tell me possibly why the yellow light is flashing...is it just a fuse?

have you done any electrical upgrades or disconnected the instrument cluster recently?

no upgrades or disconnections...
do you know why it would flash 5 times and then go off?
from what i understand the yellow warning light stays on when there is something that needs attention...

That is strange, I haven't seen that on my car. Do u have a DTC

no dtc...i didnt think to see if there was a code since it just flashed and went off. i will go this evening and see if it will read a code.
i think that this is part of my read-window problem (mine doesnt show any text)
when my yellow warning light flashes 5 times and goes off, it reminds me of the reset procedure when it flashes...
it does this everytime i start my car.

No code from VIDA, or no code from OBD II? It could be Volvo specific thing, which means only who has VIDA, such as your friendly money hungry dealer, will be able to read it.

Reboot the computer. ie. disconnect the battery for a few minutes (radio code).
