s60 key needs cutting.

I have a volvo s60 2002 model. I have lost the keys. I have being able to cut another key which only opens the trunk and the doors. am finding it difficult to get the chip that fits into the keys. DO I need to take the whole car to the dealer for them to be able to programme the key for me or do I just need to take out the brain box with proof of ownership to the dealers?

go to dealer w/ ur VIN and ID and they'll cut u one
