2003 V70/dies while making right turn!
Anyone heard of this problem? While making a right turn the engine just dies! This occurs several times a week, the steering wheel and brakes are so hard to operate that its a wonder I haven't been involved in an accident; however, the car starts right back up. I've upgraded my fuel, used sea-foam fuel cleaner, changed plugs, wires,filter...etc. Volvo dealer told me over the phone that they have never heard of this problem on the V70 (yeah right!)----Bring it in so we can check your code! Another problem is I can not find a code (have code reader). Any suggestions?
I had the same problem, but in a '92 volvo 740.
It turned out to be the a cable that supplied power to the injectors. It was corroded at the battery. A new crimper connector solved that problem.
You need to be patient and thorough. Start in the engine bay and check the wires/connectors to the different sensors. Also clean and tighten ground connectors in the engine bay.
All this will cost you zero, and it might solve your problem.
Post back if you find the problem/solution.

As a follow up, when the engine shuts off, your brakes will not function properly cuz its vacumn asisted and there's no vac. when engine is off. The PS will also be affected w/ engine off cuz the system needs the fluid circulating.
I have a 2004 V70 with the exact same problem.
It happen most of the time when turning into a parkint lot.
This problem is not consistant so I went to a dealer
and they can not reproduce the problem.
Please let me know if the wiring is the problem.
thanks
