disable backup warning beeper

I'm as safety-conscious as anybody, but the backup warning beeper on my 2000 V70XC is too much. I'm tired of hearing it, I know the neighbors are, and it's especially irritating in a parking garage. If I drove a bus or a dump truck and couldn't see out the back, I'd need this. How do I disable it, without resorting to violence?

That's not a stock feature.

Aren't they usually piggybacking the reverse bulb? Check inside your taillight lenses first.

Good Point. There is a replacement lamp out in the world that has a built in beeper.
Sure be sweet if it was that easy!

That was it guys. Instead of the regular 1156 backup bulb, there was a strong little beeper and a tiny lamp cleverly designed to fit the same space. Thanks so much!

FYI
No car in the world has a back up beeper as standard or optional equipment as far as I know
