1994 960 non turbo 231k- Seems to be at random after driving 20 miles, (sometimes more, sometimes less) the engine just dies; no sputtering just lights on the dash. It will start right back up, and might not die for the rest of the day, or might die after just going a few blocks. Both fuel pumps and filter were replaced last year, plugs relatively new. I think both relays have been replaced as well-
Any ideas?
Engine shuts off for no reason
I am thinking that you are having a problem with a fuel pump relay. There have been reports of crack solder points on the back sides of the circuit boards. An easy fix if you have a soldering iron.
But there are other relays too that could cause this, ignition and injector relays. You might have to do some diagnostics when the event occurs to determine the source.

Thanks for the suggestions!
Replaced the fuel pump relay but still have the problem. Where is the injector fuse located? Can I get one at a Napa or Auto Zone or do I need to get a Volvo part? Could the oxygen sensor be part of the problem? I will change out the ignition relay and see what happens-
Not sure if the engine getting hot has anything to do with it dying?
