My passenger side spring is leaking, also the strut mount is rather worn on both sides. I was putting off the repair but it is causing the tires to wear to a point the cost of leaving the bad strut much longer is going to be counterproductive.

Now I know both sides are going to need to be replaced. But what can cause this? It does have 160'000km so I figure it is normal wear and tare at this point, but should I be on the look out for something? If the spring is leaking does that mean the assembly is still good, or should the whole thing be replaced? What exactly would cause the mount to wear? I just want some more information.

The other question is the rotors are warped, the breaks and rotor need to be replaced, they were not replaced at a proper schedule interval by the previous owner is this the cause for uneven wear? Also the lug nuts were extremely tight when I took them off, I had to stand on the damn wrench to get them off (previous owned wasn't very brilliant), could this cause the rotor wear?
