Hi,

This is my first posting and I'm excited to be here with other Volvo enthusiasts. I think I've come to the right place to get the real truth behind factory roof rail installation... my choice or no choice?

Do I have the option at the factory level to forgo the installation of roof rails on a spec'd built 2011 V50R? My dealer rep says NO I do not. Roof rails would have to be removed at the dealership level and new molding purchased and painted to match the vehicle. I believed this to be true until I read some posts claiming roof rails are completely optional at the factory level. Does anyone know the real story here?
