P1233 Fuel Pump Driver Module Off Line

Hello,

I have a 2000 xc-70 with 133300 miles and have received this code twice:P1233, Fuel Pump Driver Module Off Line. First time I reset it and then about 350 mile later it came back. The car seems to run fine. I'm wondering where to begin? the fuel pump? the wiring? Any suggestions would be welcome.

If you connect the car to a scanning tool and put it in live data mode, you will be able to see if the pump is going into the drive mode or staying in CL. Not sure what would cause it to not go into that mode unless it is not getting the correct signal from the ETM.
