Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.

Which engine is fitted to your car? One requires four ignition coils and the others only two.

One problem you will find when trying to buy parts in the US is the S40 wasn't introduced until 2000 and had a turbo engine as standard, with no alternative. The ignition parts for the turbo engine do not fit the non-turbo.

Our sponsor, MyVolvoPartsOnline.com, does show some ignition parts for a 2 litre non-turbo engine.
