What is the least expensive, best OBDII reader for my vehicle. Getting tired of the guess work when taking it in for service.

Thanks

Universal ODBII reader for $39 - it is a bit primitive but you can get the codes from it.

'96 854 - died an early death with 184K miles. Killed by the front end of an LTD on a suicide mission (T-boned and both cars totaled).

I have an Actron that was about $150 that will do a little more then the really cheap ones. I like it, it works well.

If you have an Autozone near you, they will read the codes for free.

Their gadget also translated them to somthing I could understand.

The Actron unit will tell you what the code means as well as the number. You can also look up the codes on their website.
