Interesting details on a $400k+ Mercedes supercar

I wouldn't normally post this here but there are some interesting details about this car, not one of which is that its soon-to-be ex-owner is basketball great Michael Jordan.

Look how far back the engine is! It's literally under the forward part of the dash. The reasoning is clear: to distribute the weight of the compact-looking V8 for handling improvement. But that's far back. And the weight distribution doesn't seem to benefit anyway... 1986 lbs on the front wheels, 2291 lbs on the rears. Ideal of course is 50-50.

It has a flip cover for the engine start button. Is that really necessary? As if it's an arming button for military hardware.
