850 and V70 Wagon Roof Trim

I have a great pair of roof trim molding for a wagon (850 and V70).

Pulled from an 850, these are in great shape... no torn rubber on the sides, no black paint peeling, no cracks. Great condition!

$50 + shipping (would prefer local pickup)

Located in Denver, CO.

Certainly resaonable enough but these are for all intents not shipable (I've tried)
You a special carboard tubing that's bent and formed in the shape of the strips.
THEN you have an oversized package (length) so shipping costs even if you make the tubing will be as much as new ones cost!!
Too bad I would take them if they were local

I have access to some very long cardboard. Was thinking I could trim it down a little, put it between the cardboard, and then ship that way.

Please let me know if the trim is still available. Mine 850 wagon trim did the peal thing and I’ve just about decided to let the shinny side show on its own, but the side strips of rubber are now coming loose as well.....just a matter of time before these things are flying and whipping around in the breeze. Does anyone know how much OME Volvo parts would cost. I really want to restore my wagon. The rest of the body is in near perfect shape.

I've got a couple extra sets of 850 wagon roof trim in good shape but as stated shipping is not realistic. I'd be happy to sell them locally though ...

Your best bet is go to a junkyard and pull them. They just pop out, start with the front corner/end at the windshield and go carefully from there, work your way back. Or some people refinish them.

About $150 EACH!

These economics are the reason why the installation of roof rails, particularly the style used on the 850's, makes good sense. The 850 style didn't use molding segments as part of their installation, they are all painted metal.
