I have been feeling some slack / slop in the front steering and I was wondering if I had a tie rod going. I felt quite a bit of movement on the drivers side when grabbing and moving the inner tie rod.
See the video and let me know what ya'll think?
Is this normal? I know it is leaking fluid pretty good but this amount of play has me thinking this is not normal.
Steering rack play- is this normal?

I can't tell from the video - did you have both sides of the front end jacked up and the wheels off the ground?
If so, that is more or less normal since it is just the slop between the locks on the steering wheel. If your other wheel was on the ground then you indeed do have excessive slop in the rack.

Lee, wheels were up in the air, car was on jackstands.
However, I can move the rack from front of car to back of car like this on the ground. I am not pulling the rack in and out, but moving it from front to back. So I think it should not make a difference.

Okay, I looked at a friends s70 steering rack. His did not have any wobble like mine does.
Guess that bushing on the drivers side is worn out and I am due for a replacement. This should get rid of my steering play that I have been feeling.
