I am about to put my 850 B5252S motor back together (it's on a stand and stripped down) Only one issue; one of the two 3mm allens to disassemble the oil pump is now rounded. Do I go to the trouble of drilling it out and replacing it, so I can pack the internals of the pump with moly grease, or do I simply crank the engine for 30-45secs with coil disconnected to avoid oil starvation?
The motor only has about 70k Miles on it with regular oil changes. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Oil pump-Do I need to pack it?

Disconnect the coil (and I would even remove the spark plugs) and crank it to get it primed. The oil pump is a place where I don't use assembly lube since it can actually block the passages.

No need to pack it but take care of the failed fastener. Last thing you want is for it to fail over the next 70K. If the fasteners retaining head is showing signs of weakness (rounded) then its time to replace it.

Thanks I'll take all of that and use it.
I used a cheap allen set to try and undo it (my good set was hidden) and now I pay the price. The allen bolt is still torqued so I'm not worried about it. Will do the sparkless cranking & fill up the oil filter. Want this engine to get the lube asap after all the work.
On another note where do I get torque specs for things like conrod caps? Have searched the forum and found very little for the bottom end torque settings.
Have they been published somewhere I can't find them?
