can someone tell me if the insurance will "total" my car?

hey guys, i was recently involved in a car crash with my 01 v70 t5, i want some opinion form you guys, on whether or not this is counted as "totaled"or not...the problem is the car needs a new tranny..it has 113k miles on it and it needs new tires..all in all i would need to spend about 3-4k to fix the problems, but i just want them to define it has totaled just so i can get my money and buy something better...(06 s60 t5M)

ITEMS NEEDED ARE BUMPER, HEADLIGHTS, RADIATOR GRILL, RADIATOR, AND HOOD

no they haven't came out to look at it yet, they put me in an ugly mazda rental car..pssh like im going to drive that! haha i'm just driving a demo from work..any day now they should be here to take a look at it though

I saw the date wrong - you should have an estimate soon. I would have to see the core support and frame to tell you more.

theres no visible frame damage, but i was hit in the rear in the same accident also, the idiot ran away but it's a very light dent i don't think it would need to be replaced..everyone is saying i should've hit harder haha i don't know what i'd do if they dcide to just repair it

I told you before, that's probably a total especially if you claim any of the rear end damage

What is the blue book value? Insurance companies will consider totalling when damage equals 80% of blue book.

insurance came by today and said it would cost $5900!!!!! and thats with used parts..so it's definitely a total loss..now i have to see how much they're willing to give me
