engine system warning light

hi I have a v40 T4 2003
My engine system warning light comes on when the conditions are damp and cold.
I have had it check but only when light is off nothing found
any ideas the car runs vgood with light on no change

If the light came on there should be a pending code at least. make sure the gas/petrol cap is on tight and the oring that seals it is clean and in good condition.

Most likely you will have to wait for the code. I woudl look in the pending code history of your computer with a scanner. A code should be in there.

Use an OBD ( On board Diagnostics) scanner. An actron CP9185 or any OBD scanner should show you pending and actual codes.
The actron is a generic scanner . To see all the Volvo codes you must get a RICA PPC or go to Volvo service department
