IPD HD TCV install question

IPD HD TCV install question

Guys,
I have a 2002 S60 2.4T and just got the IPD HD TCV in the mail.
How do I disconnect the electrical power supply coupling on my original TCV? It has a metal u shaped clip, does that need to be taken off in order to pull the plug out of the original TCV solenoid? It will not budge at this point by just pulling on it.
Help!

Push the metal clip in towards the center of the plug. It should move easily. Hold it while pulling the lead off.
