Volvo 850 Buyers Guide in Magazine
Hiya everyone, I'm happy to announce that Grassroots Motorsports Magazine recently featured an article regarding the Volvo 850 in their November issue. In it, they outlined the performance potential of the car and some maintenance issues. The most exciting part (for me) is that they featured a picture of my car and a short interview with me about it, which can be found on page 94. You can pick up a copy of the magazine at Barnes and Noble for $4.99 USD. A link to excerpts of the article can be found here [edit: dead link removed 2011-2-4]. You must log in to view it. I encourage everyone to check it out
.

Nice, Sean. Betcha washed it once or twice for the shoot, huh?
How did the shoot go? You were there I'm assuming. Did you have to correct bits as the images came in (assuming it was digital)?
Any other interesing bits you'd like to share, as a car magazine featured car owner

Well, I did the shooting and that photo is with my old digicam (3.2 MP Canon) that liked to raise the ISO like mad even when there was plenty of lighting, resulting in lots of fuzziness (I have a 7.1 MP Olympus w/ lots of goodies now). That shot is from probably about 10 months ago and I had no idea it was going to end up in a magazine. I actually had just gotten done washing it and decided just to go take some pics. If you look closely, you can see that there is moisture built up in the corner marker
. A little while later (probably about 3 or 4 months ago), a gentleman from the magazine contacted me on VS and wanted to ask me some questions about my car and wanted some photo's. I leisurely sent him some pics and thought nothing of it; I thought I might end up on their website or something like that. In my personal opinion, that wasn't one of the better pics I sent, but no biggie. If I had known I was gonna be in a magazine, I would've polished it up like mad and made it nice 'n' shiney. The original image can be found here . I had completely forgotten about it and then this morning, Paul, the owner of the T-5R on the last page, PM'd me and told me that my car was in a magazine.
