To suggest it works is a gross misrepresentation of what actually happens. OK, enough of the flattery; but your combined efforts are priceless, so thanks again - over and out!!!

When buying from FCPGroton or IPD or someone like that, is there a way of letting them know that we are from this forum and have them send a donation to the site or give us a discount or anything?

polskamafia, all my sponsors do something to help with the price, whether it is a discount or free shipping. If your order is by phone or web site, simply mention you are a member here and could you please have a discount. On the web forms I'm pretty sure all the sponsors have a place where you can write that.

When you tell them you came to them from MVS they're more likely to continue sponsoring this site, obviously.

THANKS to you and everybody who help this site by buying parts from my sponsors.

I kind of "inherited" a 94, 850 Sed, non-turbo about a month ago, knew nothing about them. It had been sitting for 10 months, the pads were rusted to the roters and it barely started. The dash lit up with every light possible, SRS, ABS, CIL & SERV lights with oil almost gushing out of the fill cap. I quickly googled and there was MVS. Fast forward to present...PVC job, rear cam seal, breakes around, new FP relay and new dash & shifter bulbs. RUNS LIKE A DREAM! (A volvo mech first told me it was a total, so why did he offer to buy it??? Never mind...I'm Donating and wish I could afford more! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I would love for IPD to start giving me a discount, I have already spend a ton there and only plan on spending more.... but if i like mention this site to my facebook as i have done many times how will you know for sure? i would love to get that nice looking MVS Contributor icon

Glencoe, some donate as little as $5 and they get the badge. I don't make a distinction between $5 donors and $50 donors.

Alternatively, post a DIY with photos on anything Volvo and you'll earn the badge (let me or a moderator know if it slips past us). It has to be somewhat detailed and include photos -- or very detailed without photos -- otherwise the bar would be set too low, and most everyone would be eligible for the MVS Contributor badge simply by posting

As for IPD discounts or mentioning MVS on Facebook... I unfortunately don't have much pull with IPD. I don't even get discounts. Mentioning MVS on Facebook is always helpful to our community, and if anyone out there does it, consider this a thank you.

MVS has a Facebook page and I need to start using it. Two actually... I forgot I'd made one long ago and went and made another one day.
