LED Tailgate Brake Light Comes On When Car Turned Off

Hi Guys,

The LED brake light on my tailgate comes on when I switch the car off. It stays on for about 60secs before going out. The other brake lights work fine.

When the ignition is on or the car is running then all of the brake lights work perfectly. But as soon as I turn the key to the off position the LED comes on. It doesn't seem connected to any other lights including the interior courtesy lights which fade out in the normal way.

I took the car to the Volco dealer today and they seemed perplexed - which is not great news for my credit card. So if anyone has experienced this or has suggestions then I would be grateful.

My XC90 is a 2006 D5 SE manual gearbox version. We had the CEM changed a year ago so we hope this hasn't failed again.
